I've read a number of books this break (which ends Monday, unfortunately), but I only finished one that I really wanted to blog about (and am closing in on a second). Thankfully the Red Sox did some resigning in the past few weeks, so I have something to blog about. They resigned Papelbon, which sounds good to me, and they resigned Ellsbury, I also have a good feeling about this. Hopefully Ellsbury has his ribs healed. Papelbon was bound to have a bad time of it at some point, it;s mathematical probability, you can't win every time. I don't have any bad feelings about this year.
Not much else to talk about. I got a new pressure cooker, one of the Hawkins Futura ones. It's easy enough to get the hang of, but the lid is kind of tricky and the pressure is regulated by a whistle like thing instead of the old, one, which had a jiggle top. The old one was a lost cause, one of the vents popped out and wouldn't go back on. This was dangerous. After 10 minutes of trying to hold it one, a near argument, some bratty behavior on my behalf, and a ruined meal(the cooker's fault) my mother decided we needed a new one. We got one of the more high end one's this time, I guess you get what you pay for (this one came from Amazon, the last one from Sears). Hopefully this new one will work better.
The only other thing to talk about is the weather. We had a blizzard last week, an ice storm this week, and a northeaster scheduled for tomorrow. Supposedly the high tomorrow is supposed to be 15 degrees. My gelding is in an impromptu stall in a hay barn right now, next to a couple of ponies who like to fight with each other.

Well, my vacations is getting over and I did nothing to enjoy it. I became without my car for a week and a half because someone crashed on it and I had to put it on the mechanic. My wife is working and didn't find a nice place to travel alone. All of my friends were working as well, so, that was my nice vacations. My I take this last days to cook something. Your post about the new pressure cooker inspired me.
